Little Dot gets bigger

UK indie Little Dot Studios has hired a Channel 4 veteran as technology advisor as it gets set for expansion.

Bob Harris spent the past 14 years at UK terrestrial Channel 4, most recently as chief technology officer, where he helped launch the 4oD on-demand service and its subsequent roll-out.

He left in March this year to set up his own consultancy Ethereality Associates and has now joined Little Dot in an advisory role.

The YouTube-focused prodco was set up in April last year by All3Media’s commercial and digital media director Andy Taylor and All3Media International’s head of interactive media Selma Turajlic. The company’s strategy is to help prodcos, broadcasters and advertisers grow audiences and revenues through online video.

Harris will oversee Little Dot’s technology strategy including distribution of its video library beyond YouTube and its future investment in data analytics.
