Lionsgate leases Ten Days in the Valley

Ten Days in the Valley was produced for ABC

French pay TV broadcaster Canal+ is one of a host of international broadcasters to have acquired drama Ten Days in the Valley from US studio Lionsgate.

Originally produced by Skydance Television’s Uncharted label for ABC in the US, the series has also been acquired by Yes (Israel), MNET (South Africa), OTE (Greece) and Telecom (Italy).

Ten Days in the Valley stars Kyra Sedwick (The Closer) as an overworked television producer and single mother who is going through a breakup when her young daughter goes missing.

The show was created and written by Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue), who exec produces alongside Kyra Sedgwick, Jill Littman, Sherry White, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross.

Lionsgate’s line-up of drama for distribution also includes Little Women (3×60’), a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the US Civil War, and Howards End (4×60’), the tale of two sisters and the men in their lives.
