Lionsgate lands Tannenbaums

Eric and Kim Tannenbaum

US studio Lionsgate has agreed a multi-year deal with Two & a Half Men producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum to create scripted programming through their Tannenbaum Company prodco.

The husband-and-wife duo, whose company has been based at CBS Television Studios for the past eight years, have produced the recent reboot of The Odd Couple for CBS, Young & Hungry for US net Freeform and Impastor for TV Land.

They are also behind The Last OG, from Oscar-winning creator Jordan Peele and John Carcieri, which premiered on TBS.

“We’re delighted to partner with Eric and Kim, two of the most gifted and prolific television producers in the industry,” said Lionsgate Television Group chairman Kevin Beggs. “They have shepherded a roster of iconic series and we look forward to working together.”

The Tannenbaums said Lionsgate’s business was “perfectly aligned with our own approach to creating great programming in an entrepreneurial and talent-friendly environment.”

Lionsgate already has deals with talent including Courtney Kemp (Power, Get Christie Love), Paul Feig (The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale) and Nashville’s Ed Zwick & Marshall Herskovitz.
