Lion hires Discovery alum Bregman

All3Media-owned Lion Television USA has appointed former Discovery Channel and MTV producer Rebecca Bregman as executive-in-charge.

Bregman joins Lion from Part2 Pictures, where she was head of production. There she oversaw projects such as CNN’s This is Life with Lisa Ling and Showtime’s Dark Net.

Previously, Bregman was VP of production at Bobby Flay’s prodco Rock Shrimp.

With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, she has also produced for networks including Discovery Channel, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, Oxygen and Food Network. In addition, Bregman produced three seasons of Cash Cab for Lion in 2009 and 2010.

In her new role at Lion, Bregman will build and manage production teams and the group’s overall production needs. She joins a programming team led by Allison Corn.

She replaces Lisa Peters-Hamilton, who joined the company as executive in charge of production in 2015.

The appointment follows September’s news that Lion TV would be combining with All3Media stablemate Lime Pictures.
