Lime names unscripted production boss

All3Media-owned UK producer Lime Pictures has appointed an ITV Studios Entertainment (ITVSE) exec as head of production for unscripted programming.

Helen Kruger Bratt will join the company this autumn from ITVSE, where she is currently executive in charge of production.

Kruger Bratt has most recently been responsible for the delivery of programmes such as Love Island, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Saturday Night Takeaway.

She is credited with being “instrumental” in the rebirth of hit show Love Island for ITV2 in 2015, and counts complex reality shows overseas, primetime entertainment, daytime and lifestyle, factual, formats and quiz programmes among her expertise.

At Lime, Kruger Bratt will oversee production of programmes including The Only Way is Essex on ITV2, E4’s Celebs Go Dating and MTV’s Geordie Shore.

She will also oversee a raft of development projects for both Lime and its labels, including the recently established Wise Owl Films, based in Leeds.

Kruger Bratt will report to Lime’s joint MDs Kate Little and Claire Poyser and will work with head of unscripted programming Sarah Tyekiff across the company’s portfolio.

The appointment comes after Lime hired Nick Johns as head of development for unscripted from the production arm of Scottish broadcaster STV.

Little and Poyser said in a joint statement: “We have ambitious plans for the unscripted slate both here in the UK and internationally, and Helen’s extensive experience in managing programme juggernauts from pitch to broadcast provides us with the most robust support we could have to reinforce an incredibly strong creative team.”
