Lego Star Wars director boards Bugabooz

Bugabooz is based on books by Anton Kalinkin.

A director with credits including Lego Star Wars and Ninjago has boarded a forthcoming Russian animated series for preschoolers from Red Carpet Studio.

Frederik Budolph-Larsen will helm The Bugabooz, which is based on a series of books created by Red Carpet Studio general producer Anton Kalinkin.

Focusing on the descendants of several mythical villains who decide to use their magic for good causes, the series is being developed by an international team of talent from countries including Russia, Canada, Denmark and the US.

The team also includes James Backshall, who has previously worked on shows including Paw Patrol, Max & Ruby and Turbo Dogs.
