Lee’s latest superhero lands at MipTV

Comic book veteran Stan Lee and Japanese animé house Studio Bones are teaming up for new animated series Heroman, thought to be the first overseas collaborations for both parties.

Wowmax Media is the production company, facilitating the collaboration between Lee (Spiderman, X-Men) and Bones (Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven). Heroman has taken four and a half years from treatment to premiere, and will be screened at MipTV and available for regions outside of Japan.

The storyline follows a boy who unwittingly controls the Earth’s only hope for survival against a militant invasion, as well as a toy robot that comes to life as his adopted little brother.
