Lagardère to open Singapore office

MIPCOM: France’s Lagardère Entertainment is setting up a production base in Singapore to service the Asian market.

The group is partnering on the project with Stephane Bouillaud, the former programmes director at Canal+’s Vietnamese platform and channel K+, it announced today in Cannes.

The Singapore office will look to produce both scripted and non-scripted shows, initially targeting South-East Asia.

“Some projects are already under negotiation with K+ in Vietnam,” said Lagardère’s president Takis Candilis. “This move was an opportunity rather than resulting from a specific strategy, as Stephane Bouillaud come to us with the project.”
