Kreiz replaces Maker founder

The CEO and founder of online video specialist Maker Studios is stepping down to be replaced by former Endemol exec Ynon Kreiz.

Kreiz joined Maker in June last year as chairman, having left his positions as CEO and chairman of Endemol in 2011. He has now been promoted to executive chairman to take over the responsibilities of co-founder and CEO Danny Zappin, who is stepping aside.

Maker has grown into one of YouTube’s biggest content providers and became the first company to notch up a billion views in the UK last June.

Maker, which brought in investment worth US$36m last year, will retain the services of Zappin as a special advisor.
