Kimmelot pairs with ITV America

Kimmelot, the media company founded last year by Jimmy Kimmel and Brent Montgomery, has linked up with ITV America to produce its unscripted content.

Brent Montgomery

Montgomery, the former CEO of ITV America and now CEO of the Wheelhouse Group, teamed up with comedian and chatshow host  Kimmel on the new venture last November.

The pair are now partnering with Montgomery’s former employer to produce unscripted content, including the recently announced Comedy Central series Crank Yankers, the first series to emerge from Kimmelot.

The announcement was made by Scott Lonker, recently named president of Kimmelot, and ITV America CEO David George.

Comedy Central recently ordered 20 episodes of 30-minute comedy Crank Yankers, celebrating the profane puppets as they prank on phones, social media, e-sport platforms and any venue where trouble can be made.

Jonathan Kimmel serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside exec producers/creators Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Daniel Kellison. ITV America’s  George also serves as exec producer.

Wheelhouse Entertainment is the New York- and LA-based firm Montgomery unveiled last January after leaving ITV America.
