Kew alum Hana Palmer joins Abacus

New UK distributor Abacus Media Rights (AMR) has hired former Kew Media Distribution exec Hana Palmer as its head of sales.

Palmer is taking up the role having worked as a consultant for the company since shortly after its official launch in April.

Palmer is overseeing territories including the Nordics, Benelux, France, Italy, the UK & Ireland, Australia and New Zealand for AMR.

She has previously worked in a number of senior roles in key distribution companies including Kew Media Distribution, where she worked across German-speaking Europe, CEE, the Nordics and Benelux, selling such titles as documentary Leaving Neverland and Jed Mercurio’s drama Line of Duty.

Palmer’s other past roles include managing the sales team at London-based Passion Distribution, while she was also previously head of sales at Mentorn International and senior sales manager at Television Corporation International, across both formats and finished programming.

Jonathan Ford, who worked with Palmer at Kew Media and set AMR up as its CEO, said: “I am very pleased to welcome such an experienced team member as Hana in this important role.
