The 12×50′ show, produced by Croatian prodco Drugi Plan and yet to air on local channel HTV1, is set in the offices of a daily newspaper and explores political corruption, power struggles, crime and betrayal.

Keshet is taking the show to Mipcom next month, where it will be available as a finished subtitled series and a format.

Sebastian Burkhardt, head of acquisitions at KI, said: “With the current opportunities out there for non-English speaking series, and our experience with them, we are confident that The Paper will find its audience outside of Croatia.”

The Paper has been created by Ivica Djikic, Nebojsa Taraba and Miodrag Sila and directed by Dalibor Matanic (Un Certain Regard, The High Sun).
