Karga Seven ups Boydstun

US prodco Karga Seven Pictures, owned by Red Arrow Studios, has promoted one of its staff to executive VP of production.

Brett Boydstun is stepping up from the senior VP of production role he took when the joined the LA- and Istanbul-based firm in 2016.

He will now oversee the daily operations of the company in addition to all aspects of production on its slate of factual and scripted TV series, branded content, feature films and commercials.

The firm is behind shows including Hard to Kill for Discovery, Shot in the Dark for Netflix and Mysteries & Myths with Megan Fox for Travel Channel.

Since joining two years ago, Boydstun has worked on titles including JFK: Declassified and Hunting Hitler for History. Prior to arriving at Karga, he spent 13 years with Pilgrim Studios in various roles, including senior VP of production finance and operations.

The promotion was announced by Karga Seven’s founding partners Emre Sahin, Kelly McPherson and Sarah Wetherbee, who launched the company in 2008.
