Jukin, Obsesh sign content deal

Adventure Amplified airs on People Are Awesome

LA-based entertainment company Jukin Media has signed a content deal with streaming video brand Obsesh Media to license and distribute original series across Jukin’s channels.

Jukin owns and operates a portfolio of digital video properties and linear channels, including People Are Awesome, FailArmy and The Pet Collective, which are available on platforms including Roku, Pluto TV and Apple TV.

Obsesh develops content dedicated to the outdoors. Its first original series, Adventure Amplified, recently debuted on People Are Awesome.

Adventure Amplified follows pro athletes and outdoors enthusiasts on a journey to find inspiration as they travel the planet. The initial 13-episode season features surfers, free runners, travel filmmakers, cliff jumpers, drone videographers and skiers.

“This content partnership will accelerate our opportunity to engage and inspire Jukin’s audiences and by working with Jukin Media, we will be in a position to provide original programming in every major streaming service while mutually supporting their strategies and business partners,” said Tracy Benson, Obsesh’s CEO and co-founder.

Jukin’s CEO and founder, Jonathan Skogmo, added: “The partnership with outdoor-progressive storytelling experts Obsesh is a unique opportunity to engage with an important and growing community of lifestyle enthusiasts we often see engaging with our brands.

“Working with Obsesh will help us to provide an exciting programming experience that appeals to our core audience, new fans, and business partners, while also showcasing our shared mission to inspire and entertain through awesomeness. There has never been a more important time to bring positive stories made for longer linear viewing at home or on-the-go than now.”
