Job: Producer (Welsh Language Programmes, ITV Cymru Wales)
Contract: 9 Month Fixed Term

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a creative producer to join the current affairs production team, working on a new digital commission, creating mid-form documentaries for S4C’s Hansh brand.

You will have extensive knowledge of current affairs in Wales and the World, an abundance of original story ideas, excellent understanding of digital audiences and a proven track record as a journalist. As a strong self-shooting producer, you will be responsible for filming and editing original content, for leading and motivating other team members to create a new cutting edge strand for a young, Welsh audience.

The ability to speak and write in Welsh to a high standard is essential for both roles.

Job Requirements:

Role Criteria
  • Proven track record in journalistic originality and creativity, demonstrating a creative approach to storytelling, treatments and production
  • Strong understanding of digital audiences and platforms
  • Excellent current affairs knowledge of Welsh, UK and International affairs with experience of current affairs production
  • Sound editorial judgement with thorough working knowledge of Compliance and Legal issues
  • Experience of editing, directing and filming essential with strong self shooting skills
  • Strong Welsh language skills (accurate spelling and grammar essential)
  • Great communicator with the ability to lead and inspire within a team environment
  • The ability to work to deadlines is crucial and proven track record of working under pressure is essential
  • Good understanding of diversity
