Overview - Senior Director Digital Advertising Revnue & Operations

What is the role
We are building a new team providing a specific focus on growing and improving our UK streaming service, My5 and Pluto TV. ViacomCBS are one of the biggest spenders on content in the world, and with an ever more growing digital world improving and bolstering our streaming service is pivotal to our mission statement and continued success.

In this role you will be committed to implementing and achieving revenue targets for the new streaming team, as well as being a senior member of the department and be a role model and mentor to the wider area. This role will lead all aspects of current revenue activities as well as the overall revenue strategy for UK streaming while working closely with the VP Growth – UK Streaming, SVP Revenue and Operations – VCNI Streaming and SVP Advertising UK on day-to-day operational considerations. This exciting new position will manage and improve existing partnerships while being determined in devising and securing new partners and revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the advertising revenue strategy of UK streaming
  • You will optimize the current and future revenue opportunities across our UK content streaming offering
  • Manage the relationship with Sky Media and existing ad sales reseller partners to improve revenue opportunities
  • Drive new tech initiatives to and be responsible to drive aggressively overall revenues targets, through partners (Sky Media) and Pluto and My5 product / tech teams
  • Conduct quarter business reviews and ensuring that our offering in Europe maintains high visibility with our partners as applicable
  • Deliver partner feedback to Pluto TV’s product and engineering teams in Europe and the US for consideration in the road map
  • Serving as an internal expert and promoter on important business trends, best practices, and ad technologies
  • Critically analyse ad monetisation KPIs, gather data findings and identify improvement potential
  • Develop strategies to improve the ad setup in our product
  • Conduct experiments on a continuous basis to improve key KPIs
  • Manage relationships with networks & partners
  • Actively contribute to building scalable processes to grow the team
  • Develop and manage revenue forecasting, planning, reporting, and analytics infrastructure to deliver predictable and insightful intelligence to various stakeholders within the organization

Job Requirements:

What skills do you need
  • Extensive experience in ad sales is essential within a media or Video-on-Demand/OTT service
  • Direct experience in a large ad sales agency or the sales department of the programmatic media ecosystem (including exchanges, ad networks, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, trading desks, etc.)
  • Experience with Freewheel as an ad server
  • Deep knowledge of online advertising ecosystem, including audience targeting, programmatic landscape, and different media types with an emphasis on the Video/OTT ad tech space
  • Experience with programmatic ad campaign metrics and analysis
  • Specialist understanding of the technology behind programmatic monetization
  • Teammate with the ability to communicate effectively
