Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty

UK-based Jetpack Distribution has acquired international rights to a Nickelodeon series created and produced by US-based toy and entertainment company Funrise.

The children’s sales house has taken rights to Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty (52×11′) in territories including Canada, Latin America, Europe (excluding Italy and Russia), Australasia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The series launched on Nickelodeon in the US last month and will roll out on the company’s international channels and branded blocks around the world later this year.

Aimed at kids aged six to 11, the 2D animated comedy adventure follows a spirited and adorable kitten that acquires magical powers. It also includes a half-hour TV special.

Last week Jetpack announced the hire of Paris-based Sophie (Kido) Prigent, formerly of DHX Media, in the newly created role of sales director.
