Jetix UK reloads gaming show PXG

Kids net Jetix UK has recommissioned the interactive gaming show PXG, which is set to return to the channel’s back-to-school line-up this coming September.

Made exclusively for Jetix by Prism Entertainment and aimed at the techno-kid generation, PXG airs three-minute bite-size segments showcasing gaming on consoles, mobiles and PCs, providing more hints, tips and cheats than any other gaming show of its kind, claimed the channel.

It returns this fall fronted by Japanese host Kentaro, but with a more UK-centric flavour, said Jetix, including user-generated content clips of viewer opinions on games, with the best featured in the weekly show, podcasting, a new website and live online chat.

Director of programming for Jetix UK Dominic Gardiner said the new PXG series would give kids a greater sense of ownership of the show as well as complimenting what he called Jetix UK’s “new and exciting, high-energy look and feel of 2007.”
