ITVSGE factual travels to Asia

ITVSGE natural history title India’s Wild Karnataka

ATF: A number of broadcasters in Asia have picked up multiple titles from ITV Studios Global Entertainment, including blue-chip natural history series India’s Wild Karnataka and reality show Love Island Australia.

In Korea, KBS has acquired David Attenborough-narrated India’s Wild Karnataka, while KT Corp has picked up forthcoming drama Sticks & Stones (Tall Story Pictures), thriller Pieges (ITV Studios France, Capa Drama, BE-Films) and Australian drama Seachange (ITV Studios Australia, Every Cloud Productions).

EBS in Korea has bought the latest instalments of Michael Apted’s documentaries 7 Up & Me and 63 Up, while OBS has licensed hidden-camera comedy Tricked USA and nature series Life Cycles.

In Thailand, True Vision has picked up drama Gold Digger (Mainstreet Pictures), Jeff Pope’s factual drama A Confession, blue-chip series Magical Land of Oz and season 19 of cooking programme Hell’s Kitchen USA.

Also in Thailand, Thairath TV has bought a selection of factual shows including Born to be Wild and Too Cute! Pint Sized.

In Vietnam, FPT Telecom has acquired period dramas Victoria and Poldark (Mammoth Screen), Scandinavian thriller Jordskott, Canadian comedy Little Dog and Jekyll & Hyde.

Elsewhere, NBCU Hayu in the Philippines has picked up seasons one and two of Love Island Australia, while Discovery India has bought season three of Biggest & Baddest (Wild Planet Productions).

Discovery Asia, meanwhile, has bought the rights to natural history series Wild Tokyo (Oxford Scientific Films) and Judi Dench’s Wild Borneo (Atlantic Productions).

The deals were announced at the annual ATF conference which is taking place in Singapore this week.
