Broadcasters across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific have picked up US series Aquarius, Texas Rising and Good Witch from ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE).

David Duchovny-fronted Aquarius has been acquired by broadcasters including NBC Universal in France, Scandinavian media group Bonnier, pay TV service OTE and free-to-air broadcaster Antenna in Greece.

SVoD service Starz Play Arabia has taken the series for the Middle East and North Africa and MNet for its channels in Sub-Saharan Africa. Australian cable network F/X and Japanese cable channel Superdrama will also air the show.

Universal has also picked up the home entertainment rights in Australia and New Zealand. This follows the launch of the series on Russia’s Channel 1, Australia’s Channel Seven and SVoD service Presto and TVNZ in New Zealand. Sky has acquired the rights to the series in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy.

Meanwhile, all-star drama Texas Rising has been acquired by Sky Italia; SPI International/Filmbox for Central and Eastern Europe; OTE in Greece; F/X in Australia; and SKY in New Zealand for The BOX and SVoD service NEON. This follows the premiere of the series on History Channel across Asia.

ITVSGE has also shopped Good Witch to France’s M6 and New Zealand pubcaster TVNZ, following the launch of the series on NBC Universal across Asia.

Aquarius was recently commissioned for a second season, but has been moved from NBC’s primetime Thursday night slot to Saturdays.

Set in the late 1960s, it stars David Duchovny as a Los Angeles police sergeant who starts tracking a small-time criminal who turns out to be Charles Manson. Aquarius is produced by Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios America and Marty Adelstein.

Texas Rising, which launched on History in May, details the Texas Revolution and the rise of the legendary Texas Rangers. It is produced by A+E Studios and ITV Studios America in association with Thinkfactory Media.

Good Witch, the series based on Hallmark’s successful Original Movie franchise, follows the magical adventures of Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) and her bright, young-teenage daughter Grace who shares her mother’s special intuitive charm. It is produced by Whizbang Films.
