ITV2 orders lockdown comedy series

Home Alone With Joel Dommett will launch on April 19

UK commercial broadcaster ITV2 has ordered a comedy series in which comedian Joel Dommett will broadcast from his home amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Home Alone will see Dommett offer a comical look into his domestic life alongside his wife. The series will feature celebrity call-ins, comedy interviews and games with self-isolated viewers.

UK indie South Shore is producing, with Caroline Davies, Melanie Leach and Andrew MacKenzie-Betty as exec producers. Commissioned by Peter Tierney, the show is set to premiere on ITV2 on April 19.

Paul Mortimer, ITV‘s head of digital channels, said: “Home Alone With Joel Dommett is the perfect show to put a smile on the faces of ITV2 viewers, many of whom are holed up indoors. Joel’s joyous brand of comedy fun and games will reflect the uplifting, often hilarious things Britain is getting up to to pass the time on lockdown.”
