ITV to put on Plimsoll wildlife series

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has commissioned a factual series about animals surviving in extreme conditions from Grant Mansfield’s indie Plimsoll Productions.

Life at the Extreme, fronted by former Big Brother host Davina McCall, will look at how species cope in punishing environments and how they adapt to survive.

The 4×60’ series was commissioned for ITV by factual commissioning editor Andrew O’Connell and Richard Klein, director of factual. Exec producers for Plimsoll are Martha Holmes, Gavin Henderson and former Zodiak US CEO Mansfield.

Mansfield launched Plimsoll in September 2013, opening offices in Bristol and London. The firm focuses on reality and wildlife programming for UK and US broadcasters.
