ITV to crown Queen of the World

Oxford Films’ previous doc Our Queen at 90

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has commissioned a new series documenting the Queen of England’s responsibilities as leader of the Commonwealth.

Queen of the World (2×60’) is produced by UK indie Oxford Films and was commissioned for ITV by Jo Clinton-Davis, controller of factual and Sue Murphy, head of factual entertainment.

It is written and produced by Robert Hardman with Matt Hill directing. Faye Hamilton is the producer alongside executive producer Nick Kent.

The series offers a unique insight into Her Majesty the Queen’s role as a figure on the global stage and the baton she is passing to the younger members of the royal family as they continue to build the Commonwealth connection.

Oxford is also behind documentaries Our Queen at 90 and Diana, Our Mother: Her Life & Legacy.
