ITV rejigs daytime commissioner team

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has reshuffled its daytime commissioning team with new roles for Emma Gormley and Katie Rawcliffe.

Emma Gormley

Gormley will become MD of ITV Daytime and continue to head production of the channel’s morning shows, reporting to MD of ITV Studios Julian Bellamy and liaising with director of TV Kevin Lygo. She was previously MD of ITV Daytime for the broadcaster’s production arm, ITV Studios.

Rawcliffe, currently head of entertainment, will now also be responsible for commissioning the afternoon and weekend morning schedule.

The moves come as Clare Ely and Jane Beacon, joint heads of daytime since 2018, prepare to leave the channel.

Rawcliffe will be joined by Lara Akeju, commissioning editor, and Leanne Clarke, commissioning assistant, to look after the range of entertainment shows from 14.00 to 18.00, and weekend mornings, along with her ongoing responsibilities as head of entertainment commissioning.

Rawcliffe said: “The afternoons and weekend mornings are a key part of ITV’s schedule and are all currently in great shape. To consolidate Entertainment and Daytime Entertainment makes complete sense and it will be a privilege to work with the best talent and producers across the shows.”
