ITV poaches Endemol Shine’s Perrin

ITV Studios has appointed Endemol Shine Group (ESG)’s Lisa Perrin as MD of its international production business, reporting directly to ITV Studios MD Julian Bellamy.

Lisa Perrin

Perrin, who was CEO of creative networks at ESG, will be part of the senior management team, overseeing the day-to-day running of ITV Studios’ production labels outside the UK and US.

These include outposts in Australia, France, Germany, the Middle East, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Norway, as well as Tetra Media Studios in France, Talpa and Imago in Germany, Cattleya in Italy and United in Denmark.

The prodcos are behind shows such as Gomorrah, Suburra, Balthazar and Une Belle Histoire and also produce the local versions of ITV formats The Voice, Love Island, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Come Dine With Me.

An ITV representative said Perrin will join the company “in the coming months.”

Mike Beale

The move involves a restructure at ITV Studios’ international division that sees Mike Beale handing management of the Nordic territories to Perrin in order to focus on an expanded worldwide creative role as MD of global creative network, now reporting directly to Bellamy.

Beale’s new role will be to drive ITV Studios’ creative and development efforts globally with a more active role for the UK and US teams, as well as Israeli firm Armoza Formats.

A major focus for Beale, said the company, will be to identify new opportunities to build its creative pipeline through development deals and partnerships with format creators around the world.

In her new role, Perrin will work alongside Beale, Maarten Meijs, who heads global entertainment, and Ruth Berry, who leads global distribution.

Perrin’s stint at ESG has seen her launch new formats including The Wall, All Together Now, Sounds Familiar and Hunted, as well as the revivals of Big Brother and MasterChef. Prior to her role at ESG, she was creative director and MD at Shine Creative Networks and was director of entertainment commissioning at UKTV from 2008 to 2011.

“With a rare balance of creative and commercial talent, Lisa is an inspiring and dynamic leader. I have no doubt that she will bring great vision, drive and flair to this increasingly important part of the Studios business,” said Bellamy.
