ITV Hub spins I’m a Celeb, Masked Singer

ITV’s UK version of The Masked Singer

ITV Hub, the UK broadcaster’s on-demand service, is launching spin-offs from hit formats I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and The Masked Singer.

Hosted by Vick Hope from a virtual studio, I’m a Celebrity… The Daily Drop will provide extra action not seen in the main jungle-set competition series. New episodes will be available exclusively on ITV Hub from 07.00 the morning after each main show airs on ITV.

The new spin-off replaces I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp (fka I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Now!), which was the companion to the main series until last year.

The original spin-off aired on ITV sister channel ITV2 from 2002 until 2019, but was axed earlier this year because of high production costs.

Meanwhile, The Masked Singer: Unmasked will be hosted by presenter Will Njobvu directly after the main show, which returns to ITV in 2021. The spin-off will contain an exclusive first interview with that evening’s unmasked celebrity, backstage gossip with the panellists and behind-the-scenes footage.

Produced by Bandicoot in Scotland, which produces the main show, The Masked Singer: Unmasked will launch exclusively on ITV Hub.

I’m a Celebrity… The Daily Drop and The Masked Singer: Unmasked join Britain’s Got Talent spin-off Britain’s Got Talent Unseen as ITV Hub originals.

The latter replaced the talent show’s original companion series Britain’s Got More Talent, which aired on ITV2 from 2007 until 2019. It was decided last year that the sister show would move online because of changes in viewing habits from its target audience.
