The commercial channel will launch exclusively on Singaporean cable TV provider Singtel and will house a wide selection of British entertainment and drama.

Drama highlights include the latest season (series seven) of Doc Martin and new miniseries The Trials of Jimmy Rose, both of which will air 24 hours after transmission in the UK.

On the entertainment front, launch titles include the ninth run of The Jonathan Ross Show, series four of Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which will return for its 15th series.

Other programmes include the continuing series of Vera, Lewis, Murdoch Mysteries and Midsomer Murders, as well as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale. All programming will air close to UK airdates, with the soaps airing within 24 to 48 hours of their original transmission.

The deal coincides with recent launches across the region, including on Clear TV in Nepal and DCTV in Taiwan, as well as the channel launching across Africa on DStv in May.

ITV Choice will be available to Singtel TV customers on channel 337, across Singapore. The launch means ITV Choice will now be available in more than 100 countries across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

In March 2013, ITV Granada changed its name to ITV Choice as part of a company-wide rebrand. The channel was launched in the Middle East in 2008 as Granada TV and changed to ITV Granada in 2010.
