ITV asks Ladies for Full Monty

The Real Full Monty first aired last year

ITV in the UK has ordered a spin-off from celebrity stripping show The Real Full Monty from indie prodco Spun Gold.

The Real Full Monty: Ladies’ Night (1×90’) follows the Spun Gold-produced male equivalent, which has been recommissioned for a second run following its debut in 2017.

Participants such as former pop star Coleen Nolan, broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire, presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford and singer Michelle Heaton will take part to raise awareness of breast cancer. Their mission is to overcome nerves and inhibitions about their bodies to strip for a good cause.

“The boys were so amazing last year and I loved watching the show from home, so I can’t quite believe I’ll be taking part myself this time with a group of fabulous ladies who, like me, have all been touched by the shadows cancer casts over us,” said Nolan.

Both Full Monty shows are exec produced by Kevin Mundye for Spun Gold and directed by Will Yapp. They were commissioned for ITV by Kate Teckman, factual commissioner, and Sue Murphy, head of factual entertainment.

Already in rehearsal, The Real Full Monty’s second run will feature presenter Alexander Armstrong, The Only Way is Essex star James ‘Arg’ Argent, presenter Jeff Brazier and retired England Rugby international Ugo Monye, among others.
