ITV America reshuffles Creative

ITV America has appointed heads of programming for the east and west coasts of the US at its in-house production group.

Jason Carey

Jason Carey has joined as executive VP and head of west coast programming for ITV Creative, having previously worked at Red Bull Media House as head of original programming in the US.

Prior to joining Red Bull, Carey was senior VP of production at Animal Planet, managing its team of executive producers and overseeing the production slate for the network.

Jordana Hochman has been promoted to executive VP and head of east coast programming for ITV Creative, having previously held roles at ITV-owned Leftfield Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures and sibling prodco Loud TV, where she was most recently senior VP of programming.

Hochman has also held roles including VP of current series at Oxygen and director of non-fiction at A&E.

ITV Creative handles all production on ITV America shows from companies such as ITV Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures, Loud TV, Sirens Media and Outpost Entertainment.

Both execs report to ITV America president David George and will oversee production of all shows, with west coast-based content from ITV America’s headquarters in Sherman Oaks, California, and east coast-based programmes originating from the company’s New York City offices.

ITV America has also promoted Leftfield Entertainment VP of business affairs and executive in charge of production Tonko Soljan to senior VP for business affairs at ITV Creative.

Soljan will report to Chris Silvestri, general counsel and executive VP of business and legal affairs for ITV America.

Elsewhere, Tennessee Edwards, an executive producer on Loud TV shows such as Tiny House Nation, has moved across to ITV America in the new role of executive producer of business development and branded content. He will report to Ed Simpson, exec VP of business development and international.

“As ITV America has grown, we’ve looked to the industry’s most talented producers and executives to navigate an increasingly complex landscape that demands robust creativity on the programming side, and innovative solutions for production,” said George.

ITV reshuffled operations at Leftfield earlier this year, reshuffling its senior exec team by promoting two unscripted execs and rejigging development.

The changes came after the UK commercial broadcaster moved its Leftfield Entertainment label under the ITV America umbrella. It also appointed George, the prodco’s former CEO, as president of the US division and retired the Leftfield Entertainment moniker.
