ITN hires development head from BBCS

ITN Productions (ITNP) in the UK has appointed a head of development from rival BBC Studios and promoted another exec to lead its shortform strategy.

Georgina Madley is joining the London-based firm as head of development while Grace Dean is stepping up to head of shortform.

Madley has been head of development of unscripted productions at the commercial and production arm of the UK pubcaster since May last year.

Prior to that she held head of development positions at UK indies Alaska TV and Blast! after a previous stint as development producer at Blakeway North.

Her credits include Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun for Channel 5, Generation Gifted for BBC2, My Online Nightmare for Channel 4, My Baggy Body for Channel 4 and EDL Girls: Don’t Call Me Racist for BBC3.

Dean joined ITN in January 2016 and was most recently senior producer of entertainment and shortform. Prior to ITN she worked at the Olympic Broadcasting Services, the BBC and The Guardian.

Shortform is a rapidly expanding area for ITNP, which is producing a variety of content including Audible Podcasts, BBC Ideas shorts and long-running programming such as FYI Daily for ITV and Access for Channel 5.
