Israel’s Tanin develops in Spain

Israel’s Tanin Productions & TV has linked up with a Spanish producer to develop unscripted formats for the domestic and global markets.

Tanin Productions gameshow format Money Pump

El Terrat will partner Tanin, which creates formats across the reality, gameshow and docu-reality genres, and has sold them into more than 55 territories. Its formats include Money Pump, Upgrade and Wrong Numbers.

The Spanish firm was founded in 1989 and creates and produces shows including The Pop Magician: 48 Hours With…, Economics in Colours and House of Cars.

Gili Golan, Tanin’s president, said: “The Spanish TV market has proven its innovative approach towards new television and we are looking forward to creating the next worldwide hit with El Terrat.”

Santiago Aragonés, CEO of El Terrat, added that both companies would use their “very fresh and creative” ideas to ensure a “fruitful” deal.
