Israel comes over all romantic

Channel producer and distributor Zone Vision is keeping up the pace of global expansion by inking a carriage deal for telenovela channel Romantica with Israeli digital platform Yes.

When it launches on Yes later this month, Romantic will air escapist Latin American shows including Enamorada, Sol de Tentacion and Mas Que Amor Frenesi.

Romantica first appeared in Poland in 1998. The channel now reaches over 5m viewers across 26 countries. The deal with Yes will initially swell Romantica's audience by 360k.

{The telenovelas genre is highly successful in Israel, and we are expecting to receive an enthusiastic reception from our audience,{ said Zone Vision Israel's gm Ami Ella.

In the last three months, India and Latin America have signed up for Zone Vision's factual and docusoap channel Reality TV, while Mexico's Sky platform has added movie channel Europa Europa to its line-up.
