IPC shake-up following Industrial purchase

The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), the US prodco behind hit A&E series Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath, has rejigged its executive creative team following its acquisition by Industrial Media (fka Core Media).

Leah Hariton

Leah Hariton and Erin Gamble will steer IPC’s current programming department as executive VP and senior VP respectively, while Matt Shanfield has been appointed senior VP of development.

In their new roles, Hariton and Gamble will take responsibility for key IPC properties currently in production, including the third seasons of Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath as well as YouTube Premium’s Mind Field and National Geographic’s 1989: The Year That Made the Modern World.

Erin Gamble

Prior to joining, Hariton was senior VP of current programming at All3Media America, working at various labels under the firm’s umbrella. Before that, she spent more than a decade as a freelance showrunner and producer.

Gamble was formerly co-executive producer for the Leah Remini series and has been involved with a number of IPC’s current programmes such as Showtime’s Active Shooter: America Under Fire and Kingpin for History Channel.

Matt Shanfield

Shanfield joins IPC from LA-based prodco Asylum Entertainment, where he held a similar role to his new one. Before that he served as VP of development at cablenet Oxygen and prodco Irwin Entertainment and was director of development at Shed Media US.

In addition to these moves, IPC has made a raft of other hires and promotions since it was bought by Core Media and subsumed into new indie production group Industrial Media.

Joining the company are Tobey List, VP of current programming; Hoo In Kim, director of current programming; Alecia Ashby, director of production; Matt Horowitz, manager of development; and Jamie Renberg, coordinator of current programming. Matt Zien, Steve Erdman and Patrick Murphy have been promoted to VP of development, director of development and coordinator of development respectively.

IPC’s CEO Eli Holzman and president Aaron Saidman have assumed the same roles at Industrial Media, taking responsibility for key programmes within Industrial such as American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance for networks ABC and Fox respectively. Additionally, Holzman and Saidman will manage Industrial’s partner companies B-17 Entertainment and Sharp Entertainment alongside IPC.
