Int’l producers ready projects for MipJr pitch

MIPJUNIOR: Companies from China, Croatia, Luxembourg, Germany and South Korea are set to pitch new IP to buyers from broadcasters including the BBC, Nickelodeon and Turner tomorrow.

Winsing Animation in China will present Gogobus & Team Steam; Recircle of Croatia will pitch Little Who Who and Zelit Productions from Luxembourg will present Quirikistador: Book of Tales.

The pitches will be rounded out by Spookies, which will be pitched by Wolkenlenker in Germany, and The Curious World of Linda, from Taktoon Entreprise of South Korea. To find out more about the projects being pitched, click here.

The jury members of the MipJunior Project Pitch are Jo Allen, producer, BBC Children’s acquisitions and independent animation, the BBC; Julien Borde, head of kids and general entertainment channels at WarnerMedia-owned Turner France & Africa.

Also on the jury are Massimo Bruno, head of TV channels, De Agostini Editore; Nina Hahn, senior VP, production and development, Nickelodeon International; and children’s media consultant Paula Taborda dos Guaranys, who recently left Brazilian network Gloob.

The MipJunior Project Pitch is dedicated to creators and producers seeking financing for projects in development.

After reviewing projects collected via the MipJunior screenings library, the industry jury chose the five best projects to be pitched live on the MipJunior stage at 14.45 on Sunday October 13.

During the session, there will also be a case study from French producer Dandelooo on Stinky Dog, the finalist of the MipJunior Project Pitch in 2017. Based on the books by Marc Boutavant, Stinky Dog follows the hilarious and hectic adventures of a maverick mutt and a flattened cat.
