Int’l nets visit Babies Behind Bars

Broadcasters across Europe have bolstered their factual slates by acquiring crime documentaries including Babies Behind Bars from GRB Entertainment.

The 1×90′ doc has been picked up by WP1 Grupa in Poland, Danish pubcaster DR and Sony Entertainment Networks in the UK.

The show, sold by US producer and distributor GRB, follows the lives of female inmates at Washington Corrections Center participating in a programme allowing them to raise their babies while serving their sentences.

Sony has also added Until Proven Innocent: The Hannah Overton Story, which explores the mysterious salt-poisoning death of a four-year-old boy. It was produced by US-based P+R Productions for US network Investigation Discovery.

Meanwhile, Polsat in Poland has picked up The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter, a two-hour doc exploring the Manson Family murders, and International Media Content Limited in the Caribbean has added racial discrimination doc Black & Blue.
