Broadcasters around the world have picked up new CGI series Super 4, featuring characters from toy maker Playmobil.
The 52×11′ comedy adventure toon is set to air on Radio-Canada, TV3 in Catalonia, RTS in Switzerland, RTL TéléKids in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Canal+ in Poland and Noga in Israel.
The deals come after the series, originally commissioned by France Télévisions, was acquired by a number of other European broadcasters including CiTV in the UK earlier this year.
Aimed at five- to nine-year-olds, the toon follows the adventures of four main characters – Alex the Knight, Ruby the Pirate, Agent Gene and Twinkle the Fairy – as they travel through five imaginary worlds inspired by the Playmobil universe.
The series will debut in 2015 and is produced by France’s Method Animation alongside Germany’s Morgen Studios. Paris-based PGS Entertainment picked up distribution rights to the series in all territories last year.
