Int’l nets open Blue Book S2

Aidan Gillen in Project Blue Book

Broadcasters in CEE and Spain are among the latest raft of international channels to have picked up the second season of UFO drama series Project Blue Book from US cablenet A+E Networks.

TNT in Spain, France’s Warner TV (via EuroTV), South Korea’s D’Live, the Vietnam Satellite Digital Television Co and CIS Yandex have all agreed deals for the forthcoming 10-episode second season, which was greenlit in February.

CIS Yandex is available in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The latest round of deals follows the sale of Project Blue Book’s second season in April to Syfy (UK), Corus (Canada), SBS (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), U-Next (Japan), OTE (Greece), Farsi-language UK channel Manoto, Mesimvria (Cyprus) and Showmax (Africa).

The series, which airs on A+E Networks channel History, is based on real-life investigations into UFOs in the 1950s and 60s.

It stars Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries) and is exec produced by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future). Project Blue Book is an A+E Studios production in association with Compari Entertainment.
