Int’l nets give Squish life

Broadcasters in Belgium and Israel have pre-bought Cottonwood Media’s forthcoming animated slapstick series Squish from distributor Federation Kids & Family.

Squish

RTBF and VRT in Belgium and Hop TV in Israel will air the 52×11′ series, which is due for delivery in 2019 and is based on the graphic novels by Jennifer Holm and Matthew Holm.

The show follows an inquisitive amoeba as he goes to school and lives among his fellow single-cell organisms.

The series is produced by France’s Cottonwood Media, part of Federation, and Planeta Junior, in partnership with Gulli in France, Russia and Africa, with distribution from Federation and Planeta Junior.

David Michel, president, Federation Kids & Family and Cottonwood Media, said: “In today’s market, where a lot of shows look and feel alike, Squish really stands out wherever it’s shown. It is visually distinct, original in concept, and bold in its humour, while being a true, parent-friendly six-to-11 high-comedy show.”
