Insight, Vice spotlight Invictus Games

The coproduction and programming sales division of Dutch ultra-high-definition broadcaster Insight TV is working with Vice Studios on a docuseries about Prince Harry’s Invictus Games.

I Am Invincible will showcase the talented veterans taking part in the annual international adaptive multi-sport event, which was founded by Prince Harry in 2014.

This followed the Duke of Sussex attending the Warrior Games in the US in 2013, when he was inspired by the power of sport to help combat veterans suffering from injury and illness to recover physically, psychologically and socially.

The three-part doc is being filmed entirely in 4K UHD HDR and is set to premiere on April 18.

Featured participants include Jari Ylanen from Denmark, a former combat soldier who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, who suffers from PTSD and sees the Invictus Games as a way to help him better understand his trauma.

This year’s Invictus Games will take place from May 9t to 16 in The Hague, the Netherlands. It will bring together more than 500 competitors from 19 nations to compete in a series of adaptive sports, such as wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing.

It marks the third copro between Insight TV and Vice Studios, following Modern Day Gladiators and Street Kings in Jail.
