Insight TV renews Ghost Chasers

MIPCOM: Dutch 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD) broadcaster Insight TV has renewed its original docuseries Ghost Chasers for second and third seasons.

The forthcoming seasons of the series will feature YouTubers Josh and Cody as the new presenters, as they take over from former host Kay Nambier, and a team of paranormal investigators as they travel to Europe’s haunted sights to uncover more behind their mysteries.

The series is produced by Newbie Productions and the new instalments will be released in early 2020. The first season of Ghost Chasers was picked up by international broadcasters such as UK channel operator UKTV and Blue Ant Media in Canada

In addition, Insight TV has wrapped up production of an upcoming skateboarding show.

The company has also announced the opening of a new US studio and a deal with Virgin Media in the UK.

Arun Maljaars, director of content and channels at Insight TV, said: “We’re working on developing different territories at the same time.”

He added that the company has identified the Asian market as a new target for possible expansion.
