India’s MMTV orders Armoza format

Indian broadcaster MMTV has commissioned a local version of primetime gameshow Still Standing from Israel’s Armoza Formats.

The 60-episode first season will run twice a week from next month on Mazhavil Manorama, MMTV’s regional entertainment channel. The deal was made in collaboration with Endemol Shine India, which will produce the series locally.

In related news, Canale 5 in Italy has started airing its version of the show after commissioning a further 70 episodes recently.

Still Standing, originally created by Israel’s Channel 10 and July-August Productions, offers contestants the chance to win US$1m by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced trivia battles.
