Indian net hears kids’ Voice

A broadcaster in India has become the latest to commission a junior version of Talpa talent format The Voice.

Zee TV in India will air a local version of The Voice Kids in June following a deal with Talpa Global, the distribution arm of the ITV-owned production company.

Having first aired in the Netherlands in 2012, The Voice Kids has now spawned over 30 local productions, according to Talpa.

Broadcasters to have commissioned The Voice Kids include Telemundo in the US and ITV in the UK, which is due to begin airing the format next year alongside The Voice, which it poached from the BBC.
