Icon tracks yeti for Animal Planet

Icon Films’s The Lost Kingdom of the Yeti

Discovery-owned US cablenet Animal Planet has ordered a documentary about the legendary yeti of the Himalayas.

The Lost Kingdom of the Yeti (1×120’) will be fronted by yeti hunter Mark Evans with UK indie studio Icon Films producing.

Harry Marshall and Jonny Young are executive producers for Icon, while Patrick Keegan is supervising producer and Keith Hoffman executive producer for Animal Planet.

The programme will air during Animal Planet’s Monster Week of programming on May 28 at 20.00 ET.

The Lost Kingdom of the Yeti follows Evans as he embarks on an expedition into the Himalayan mountains amid news of yeti sightings and mysterious footprints in the snow.

He has previously presented similarly themed documentaries Yeti or Not and Big Foot Files.
