Hurricane goes south

NATPE: GRB Entertainment has closed a number of sales into Latin America here in Miami.

National Geographic’s Lat Am network has picked up the first two seasons of Weather Channel’s Hurricane Hunters and ESPN in Brazil has licensed soccer-themed My Beautiful Game, which originally aired on Fox Soccer.

Discovery’s regional Lat Am net, meanwhile, also took three US cable titles: FBI: Criminal Pursuit S2-3, Wicked Attraction S6 and Untold Stories of the ER S8. They originally aired on Investigation Discovery and TLC in the U.S.

“Natpe is the perfect place to announce deals with our close partners in Latin America,” said GRB president and CEO Gary R Benz. The LA-based firm is here with two new scripted titles: The Haves and The Have Nots and Love Thy Neighbor, both from OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
