Hulu lifts curtain on Dawn

US streamer Hulu has ordered a pilot set in prehistoric times from the creator of Without a Trace.

Dawn is from Hank Steinberg, who is also exec producing, while Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) is penning the script. MGM Television is coproducing, with Robert Strombgerg (Maleficent) on board to direct.

The show follows a tribe of Neanderthals attempting to survive after meeting a group of Homo Sapiens.

Hulu yesterday revealed its plans for an online TV service and a new documentary film arm for exclusive factual titles.
