House of Games wins BBC1 primetime slot

Richard Osman’s Games Night has aired for three seasons on BBC2

UK celebrity gameshow Richard Osman’s House of Games is moving to BBC1 primetime after a successful run on BBC2.

The series, retitled Richard Osman’s Games Night, has been commissioned to air later this year, after House of Games aired for three seasons on BBC2 in an 18.00 slot.

Each week a group of four celebrities test their general knowledge skills in a variety of games. Jennifer Saunders, Jermaine Jenas, Roisin Conaty and Jason Manford will take part in the BBC1 run.

The series includes all the games from the BBC2 series plus some new additions, including a house band and special guests.

Banijay-owned Remarkable Television produces the show. Tamara Gilder, the firm’s creative director, said: “House of Games is a total joy to make and we can’t wait to share these special episodes with a primetime audience. It has everything you love about the 6pm show with some extra quizzing silliness thrown in for good measure.”
