Hollywood Suite sets first original

Canadian channels operator Hollywood Suite is to mark the launch of its first original series by offering all of its networks for free for a month.

A Year in Film, which explores the art of film and filmmaking by analysing different years in film, will launch on December 8 with an episode focusing on 1978.

Other episodes in the series will put the spotlight on some of the key films that were released in 1983, 1992 and 2007 and explore how they reflect the events, mood, politics and culture of their eras.

The launch of A Year in Film coincides with Hollywood Suite offering a nationwide free preview of all four of its channels, as well as Hollywood Suite On Demand, from December 1 to January 5.

Hollywood Suite owns and operates four exclusive HD channels featuring the iconic movies that defined the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s, plus Hollywood classics from the Golden Age, commercial-free.

“We are so proud of A Year in Film that we want to give every Canadian the ability to see it. It made perfect sense to launch our first ever original series during this time,” said David Kines, president of Hollywood Suite.
