History, Foxtel, BBC board WW2 doc

History in Canada, Australian pay TV broadcaster Foxtel and BBC Scotland have commissioned a coproduction marking the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Australian prodco Electric Pictures has joined up with Canada’s Bristow Global Media to coproduce docudrama 100 Days to Victory (2×60’).

The two companies have already begun production on the show, which was commissioned by Corus Entertainment’s History in Canada and Foxtel’s The History Channel in Australia and New Zealand, alongside BBC Scotland.

Screen Australia, in association with Screenwest and the Canada Media Fund, will provide principal production investment. The series will be exec produced by Bristow’s president and CEO Julie Bristow plus Marlo Miazga, alongside Electric Pictures’ CEO Andrew Ogilvie, Andrea Quesnelle and Phil Craig. London-based Kew Media Group has global distribution rights.

100 Days to Victory is an account of the final 100 days of the Great War and tells the story of how the Allied forces came up with a strategy to win. It is set to premiere in fall 2018.
