Hell on Wheels rides to Icflix

Middle Eastern VoD service Icflix has picked up western drama series Hell on Wheels to roll out in May.

Icflix, the region’s first unlimited streaming platform for what it terms ‘Jazwood’ (Arabic content), Bollywood and Hollywood programming, will give the AMC drama its first ever showing in the Middle East and North Africa.

Four seasons of the western will join the Dubai-based firm’s growing roster of series acquisitions from Entertainment One (eOne) including The Red Road, Klondike, Rogue, Haven, Turn, Halt and Catch Fire, Welcome to Sweden, Primeval: New World and The Book of Negroes.

Hell on Wheels tells the story of post-Civil War America, focusing on a former Confederate soldier who sets out to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who killed his wife.

The show was developed by Endemol USA and is produced by eOne and Nomadic Pictures.
