Heath Banks appointed ITV America COO

ITV America, part of ITV Studios, has promoted executive VP of operations Heath Banks to the role of chief operating officer.

Production executive Banks’ tenure with ITV America began in 2012 when he joined subsidiary Leftfield Pictures as VP, production.

He has since held various roles at Leftfield and at ITV America, most recently being the latter’s exec VP of operations. Before arriving at Leftfield, Banks was senior VP of production at Pilgrim Studios.

As COO, LA-based Banks will focus on the internal management of ITV America, overseeing and spearheading all physical and technical operations, processes and protocols.

ITV America described the position as critical at “a time of massive industry change on multiple levels.”

As well as Leftfield Pictures (Alone, Pawn Stars), ITV America’s labels include ITV Entertainment (Queer Eye, Love Island), Sirens Media (Real Housewives of New Jersey), Thinkfactory Media (Marriage Boot Camp), High Noon Entertainment (Fixer Upper) and Good Caper Content (Taken at Birth).

ITV America CEO David George said: “Heath has played a key role in the success of ITV America through the years behind the scenes. As we continue to amp up and evolve in the new media world, it’s vital that we adapt and rethink our cross-country internal operations.”
